This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the King Abdulaziz International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=oejn If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus and climatological norms position 37–39°C as the most probable range for Jeddah’s daily maximum on September 4.** Multiple numerical weather models and official outlooks converge on highs of 36–39°C (roughly 97–102°F) under persistent clear to partly cloudy skies, light northwesterly winds, and negligible rainfall—conditions typical for the Red Sea coastal plain in early September. This aligns closely with National Center for Meteorology baselines showing an average September maximum of 38.3°C and historical daily highs clustered around 35–39°C. **Key scientific drivers include strong solar insolation near the autumnal equinox, a stable subtropical high-pressure ridge suppressing cloud formation, and the moderating yet humid influence of the adjacent Red Sea, which elevates heat index but does not prevent peak air temperatures from reaching the upper 30s.** Recent short-range guidance (as of early September 2–3) shows no significant model spread or incoming disturbances that would drive substantial cooling or intensification, supporting the market’s heavy weighting toward 38°C (38%) and 39°C (26%), with 37°C close behind at 25%. Updated model runs or satellite observations in the next 24–48 hours remain the primary variables that could shift these implied probabilities.
