Recent National Weather Service forecasts for New York City point to a warm air mass on September 10 driven by southwest flow, supporting daily highs in the mid-80s Fahrenheit amid partly sunny skies and a 40-50% chance of afternoon showers. This setup explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 84-87°F bins, as traders weigh how much convective cooling or lingering cloud cover from the approaching front might suppress the peak versus sustained southerly advection of warmer, humid air. Model consensus shows limited spread, with historical September averages near 78°F providing context for the elevated readings, though small shifts in precipitation timing introduce the main uncertainty ahead of final resolution.
