Latest ensemble forecasts from major meteorological centers show a high likelihood of a maximum temperature near 28°C in Shanghai on September 15, with model consensus centered on that value and limited spread toward 27°C or 29°C. Subtropical high pressure and reduced cloud cover are supporting modest daytime warming during the seasonal transition, while sea-breeze effects and typical early-autumn humidity moderate extremes. Historical September maxima in Shanghai average around 27–29°C, providing context for the current trader weighting. Updated model runs and official guidance issued in the past 24 hours have reinforced this narrow range, with final station observations expected to resolve the market.
