The 2026 Quebec general election campaign, called on August 27 for an October 5 vote, has produced a tight contest in Rosemont between Québec solidaire candidate Gisèle Pouhe Njall and Parti Québécois nominee Pierre-Luc Brillant. The riding's recent history as a QS stronghold, combined with the incumbent's shift to independent status, underpins the competitive positioning reflected in current trader consensus. Both parties emphasize overlapping priorities such as housing, healthcare reconstruction at Maisonneuve-Rosemont, and social services, limiting differentiation so far. Lower odds for Liberal David Lavoie, CAQ's Nour Aliyah Attié, and Conservative Mildred Mathieu align with their weaker historical and projected support in the district. Further campaign events, local issue debates, or turnout patterns among progressive voters could shift probabilities before nomination closes on September 17.
