Recent polling and riding-level projections show a tight three-way contest in Nicolet-Bécancour, with the Parti Québécois candidate Jérôme Gagnon holding a modest lead in popular vote estimates over the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Donald Martel and the Parti Conservateur du Québec nominee Guillaume Langlois. Provincial trends favoring opposition parties, combined with Gagnon's strong local profile following his May 2026 nomination win and the riding's history of competitive results, underpin trader pricing that places Gagnon ahead while keeping Martel in contention. The October 5, 2026, general election date leaves limited time for late developments such as turnout shifts among rural voters, further candidate debates, or changes in broader party momentum to widen margins among the leading contenders.
