Recent National Weather Service forecasts for September 6 highlight mostly cloudy skies with a 50% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, driven by mid-level moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Marie interacting with an approaching trough. This setup favors onshore westerly flow and marine-layer influence that limits afternoon solar heating, producing highs in the upper 70s at coastal and airport sites (around 78°F) and low-to-mid 80s inland. Such conditions align with the market's strongest consensus around 78-79°F, as cloud cover and scattered precipitation moderate temperatures below clear-sky potential while remaining above seasonal averages near 76.5°F. Updated model runs and morning observations on September 6 will refine these ranges ahead of market resolution.
