Latest National Weather Service and model guidance point to highs of 82–87°F in New York City on September 9, driven by southerly flow advecting mild maritime air and partly cloudy skies that limit extreme daytime heating. This consensus underpins the 57.5% market-implied probability on 84–85°F and 35.5% on 82–83°F, as traders weigh consistent ensemble runs against typical late-summer variability. Minor model spread on cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing leaves room for slight upward revisions, but no strong warm advection or clear-sky signals support higher brackets. Updated short-range forecasts and afternoon observations tomorrow will provide the final data for resolution.
