This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Singapore Changi Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 31 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Market-implied odds favor a 33°C high (51%) on August 31, followed by 32°C (34%) and 34°C (11%).** These probabilities reflect trader consensus on Singapore’s late-August conditions under prevailing southwest monsoon flow, with southeasterly or southwesterly winds, high humidity, and afternoon thundery showers that typically cap daytime maxima. Official Meteorological Service Singapore guidance for the second half of August projects daily highs of 33–34°C on most days, occasionally reaching 35°C, consistent with the month’s observed +1.6°C departure from the 28.1°C normal mean and frequent 33–34°C readings through mid-to-late August. Short-range model output for August 31 shows highs near 31–32°C (roughly 88–90°F) under partly cloudy skies with 60–70% storm chances, but the broader seasonal context and recent above-average warmth support the 33°C outcome as the most probable single value. Key variables include cloud cover and timing of showers, which can suppress peaks by 1–2°C, versus clearer periods allowing stronger insolation. Historical analogs place late-August maxima around 31–32°C, yet 2026’s warmer baseline shifts the distribution upward. Updated forecasts and any new observational data in the final 48 hours before resolution will be the primary drivers of further market movement.
