Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a low near 77°F in Dallas on September 4, driven by persistent southerly flow under a subtropical ridge that maintains high humidity and limits nocturnal radiational cooling. With only modest cloud cover and light winds expected overnight, temperatures are unlikely to drop into the upper 60s unless an unexpected cold front or clearer, drier air arrives. Conversely, the 34.5% market-implied odds on 88°F or higher reflect residual uncertainty over localized urban heat-island effects or delayed mixing that could keep the minimum elevated. Historical September averages near 74°F and low forecast spread among NHC/NOAA guidance support the clustered trader interest around 76–79°F outcomes, though model runs through the weekend will refine the exact minimum before resolution.
