Persistent high pressure and southerly flow are anchoring above-normal warmth across North Texas, with National Weather Service guidance showing mostly clear skies and lows in the upper 70s to low 80s for September 7. Limited nocturnal radiative cooling under humid conditions (dew points near 70°F) and light winds prevent sharper drops, keeping the overnight minimum clustered near 80–83°F. Model consensus remains tight with little spread, reflecting the entrenched pattern rather than any frontal passage or moisture surge. Historical September 7 lows average around 73°F, underscoring the current anomaly driven by the ongoing heat dome. No significant forecast shifts are expected before resolution, though minor adjustments in guidance could still separate the closely matched 78–83°F bins that dominate trader positioning.
