Recent Met Office guidance points to a clear, calm night over London with light northwesterly winds and minimal cloud, favoring strong radiative cooling that could push the official minimum to around 11 °C. Traders nevertheless assign the highest implied probabilities to 14–15 °C, reflecting uncertainty over the precise strength of the urban heat-island effect at the measurement site and the possibility of slightly more residual moisture or variable wind mixing than models currently show. Historical September minima average near 11 °C, yet recent days have run several degrees warmer, leaving model consensus divided on how far temperatures will fall before dawn. Updated overnight observations and the final 06:00–09:00 UTC readings will resolve the market.
