Recent quarterly trends reinforce this view: comparable sales rose 0.4% in Q4 2025 and 0.3% for the full fiscal year, supported by steady pro customer demand and modest average-ticket gains amid stable housing-market conditions. With earnings scheduled for release today, the market-implied odds reflect consensus that Q1 results will fall comfortably inside the 0.5–1% band. A sharper rebound in home-improvement spending or stronger-than-forecast spring promotions could push growth above the upper end of that interval, while softer consumer traffic or renewed housing-market weakness remain the main downside risks.
