Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and models indicate overnight lows in the mid to upper 70s for Houston on September 24, driven by persistent southerly flow, high humidity, and limited nocturnal cooling under partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds. This above-average pattern, with daytime highs near 95°F, stems from a stalled warm air mass and delayed autumn frontal passages. Trader sentiment reflects model consensus around 75–79°F minima, tempered by uncertainty in exact dew points, boundary-layer mixing, and any late-day cloud increases that could nudge the low slightly lower or hold it near 78–79°F. Historical September 24 lows average near 70°F, underscoring the current anomalous warmth.
