Recent official forecasts from multiple sources project a high of 29–30°C for Shanghai on September 22 under partly cloudy skies with light northeast to east winds and humidity near 60%. This places trader emphasis on the narrow 28–29°C band, as current model consensus hovers near the seasonal average high of 28°C while showing modest daytime warming potential from reduced cloud cover and stable steering patterns. Minor differences between these outcomes hinge on exact solar insolation, boundary-layer mixing, and any late adjustments in the China Meteorological Administration’s next model runs. With no incoming frontal systems or typhoon influences until later in the week, resolution will hinge on the final observed maximum reported by local stations.
