Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a cool northeast flow following Sunday’s rain will moderate overnight temperatures in Central Park, with forecast lows clustered in the upper 50s to low 60s Fahrenheit for September 21. Persistent cloud cover, northeasterly winds of 10–15 mph with gusts to 25 mph, and residual moisture are limiting radiational cooling and supporting the market’s emphasis on 60–63°F bins. These conditions align with early-autumn climatology after a frontal passage, where minimum temperatures typically settle near seasonal normals rather than dropping sharply. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion will refine the exact minimum ahead of the day’s resolution.
