**Forecast consensus points to a high in the upper 60s°F for New York City on September 21, 2026, driven by post-frontal cooling and persistent cloud cover following widespread rain on September 20.** Official National Weather Service guidance and multiple model runs indicate northeast winds of 10–15 mph advecting cooler maritime air, with highs near 67–69°F amid mostly cloudy skies and only a slight chance of showers. This setup limits daytime heating compared to the warmer, rainier conditions of September 19–20. Trader sentiment clusters on 68–71°F outcomes because small differences in cloud timing or wind shift could nudge the peak by a degree or two, while probabilities for 72°F+ remain low given the established northerly flow and lack of strong insolation. Updated model runs and local observations through the morning of September 21 will refine the exact maximum before markets resolve.
