Chicago Cubs host the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field in a key NL Central matchup, with trader consensus leaning toward the Cubs amid their 11-game home win streak and 14-5 record at Wrigley this season. The Reds enter on a three-game road skid following a weekend sweep by the Pirates, compounded by a depleted rotation—Nick Lodolo nears return from a blister but remains sidelined until May 8, Hunter Greene misses extended time with an elbow issue, and recent IL stints for Caleb Ferguson (oblique) and Brandon Williamson (shoulder) forced a call-up of prospect Chase Petty for Monday's series opener. Andrew Abbott (1-2, 5.97 ERA) starts for Cincinnati against Jameson Taillon for Chicago, where the Cubs' veteran lineup exploits Wrigley winds under mild conditions with low precipitation risk. Reds' offense has slugged with 17 homers over their last 10 games, but Cubs' home dominance and pitching depth define the closely contested implied probabilities.
