The Cincinnati Reds hold momentum entering the series finale against the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ball Park, following back-to-back wins including an 8-3 victory yesterday where third baseman Sal Stewart delivered a career-high six RBIs on two three-run homers. Probable starters Landen Roupp (2-1 for Giants, solid early control in 16.2 innings) and Chase Burns (Reds) shape a competitive pitching matchup amid both teams' struggling offenses—Giants ranking low in average, Reds even worse at 28th (.206). Giants' outfield took hits with Jared Oliva (wrist) and Harrison Bader (hamstring) landing on the 10-day IL yesterday, thinning depth, while Reds miss starters like Hunter Greene (60-day elbow) but boast home-field edge and youthful lineup surge. Trader consensus reflects this tight NL clash with early-season volatility.
