The Tampa Bay Rays carry momentum into Thursday's series finale at Guaranteed Rate Field, seeking a sweep after 8-3 victories over the Chicago White Sox on April 14 and 15, extending their winning streak to four games amid a competitive 10-7 start in the AL East. White Sox starters have struggled, with Sean Burke allowing runs in recent outings, while probable lefty Sterling Matz (Rays) faces Andrew Kay (White Sox) in a battle of southpaws; Matz's command could exploit Chicago's .220 home batting average during a three-game home skid and 6-12 overall mark. Rays infielder Gavin Lux remains sidelined with shoulder impingement until late April, but core lineup intact; White Sox catcher Kyle Teel (hamstring) and pitcher Jonathan Cannon (hip) are on IL, thinning depth for the last-place AL Central club. Mild Chicago weather favors offense.
