Microsoft’s stock price action during the week of June 1, 2026, is being driven primarily by the Build developer conference, where the company unveiled its in-house MAI-Thinking-1 model and expanded Copilot capabilities amid continued Azure AI momentum. Traders are weighing robust cloud revenue growth—Microsoft Cloud surpassed $54 billion in the most recent quarter with AI services at a $37 billion annualized run rate—against elevated capital expenditures and a board transition following LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman’s departure. Recent share prices have fluctuated in the $427–$450 range, reflecting sentiment around AI monetization progress and sector rotation within technology equities.
