Tampa Bay Rays enter the series finale against the Chicago White Sox on a five-game winning streak, including 8-5 and 8-3 victories in the first two games at Guaranteed Rate Field, boosting their 9-7 record and second-place AL East standing. The White Sox, mired at 6-11 and fifth in the AL Central, struggle offensively at 3.06 runs per game amid a three-game home skid. Rays' probable starter Steven Matz faces a White Sox rotation hampered by injuries like Jonathan Cannon's hip issue; Tampa Bay's staff, despite placing Ryan Pepiot and Joe Boyle on the IL recently, has leaned on bullpen strength. Chicago's home-field edge offers little counter to the Rays' momentum and superior early-season form.
