The rubber match of this interleague series at American Family Field features Toronto Blue Jays lefty Patrick Corbin (0-0, 9.00 ERA early) against Milwaukee Brewers righty Brandon Sproat, with both clubs navigating injury challenges. Toronto (7-10, fourth in AL East) won the opener 9-7 in 10 innings on April 14 but fell 2-1 yesterday, plagued by a depleted rotation including José Berríos (elbow), Shane Bieber (elbow), and position players like George Springer (fractured toe) and Alejandro Kirk (thumb surgery, out six weeks). Milwaukee (9-8, fourth in NL Central) snapped a six-game skid via an eighth-inning rally, though without Christian Yelich (adductor strain on IL); home-field advantage and bullpen depth could sway trader consensus amid 58-degree conditions.
