Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston on September 7 points to a mostly sunny day with afternoon sea-breeze showers and thunderstorms, supporting highs in the low-to-mid 90s amid high humidity and heat indices near 110°F. This aligns with the market's leading 92-93°F and 94-95°F outcomes, as steering patterns and moisture from recent tropical activity like Edouard have kept conditions typical for early September rather than extreme. Historical averages near 91°F and recent days in the mid-90s provide context, while forecast uncertainty from storm timing and intensity could shift the peak by a degree or two. Updated NWS briefings and model runs over the next 48 hours will refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
