Current NWS and private forecasts project a high near 91–92°F for Houston on September 6, with partly to mostly sunny morning conditions giving way to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The primary uncertainty centers on convective timing and coverage: early or widespread storms would enhance cloud cover, increase evaporative cooling, and cap temperatures in the upper 80s, while delayed or isolated activity would allow stronger surface heating under higher dew points and lighter winds. Ensemble guidance shows modest spread around this range, consistent with late-summer Gulf moisture and weak steering flow. Updated short-range model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will refine afternoon instability parameters and directly inform trader positioning across the 88–93°F bins.
