Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private providers converge on a Wednesday high of 83–86°F for New York City, driven by southwesterly flow and mostly cloudy conditions that limit daytime heating while preventing significant cooling. This consensus places the 84–85°F bin as the modal outcome at 44.5% implied probability, with 82–83°F and 86–87°F bins capturing residual model spread and minor timing differences in frontal passage. Recent observations from Central Park and LaGuardia show daily maxima of 80–85°F under similar regimes, consistent with late-summer climatology rather than anomalous warmth or an approaching cool front. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion remain the key near-term catalysts.
