Recent forecast consensus from the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Foreca, and Yr.no points to a daily high of 17–18 °C in Helsinki on September 9 under cloudy skies with light southwesterly flow and scattered showers. These values sit slightly above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 16.6 °C and align with the current synoptic pattern of mild Atlantic air overriding the Baltic region. Model agreement on this narrow range, with minimal spread in guidance runs issued over the past 48 hours, underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward 17 °C (36.5 %) and 18 °C (49.0 %). Official resolution will rely on the highest 24-hour reading recorded at Helsinki-Vantaa or Kaisaniemi, with any late-day clearing or stronger winds the only realistic variables that could push the outcome outside this band.
