This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Benito Juárez International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 20 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Mexico City's high elevation of roughly 2,240–2,300 meters above sea level produces a subtropical highland climate where September overnight lows typically range from 10–13°C despite the tropical latitude. On September 20, 2026, forecast models and station observations indicated a minimum near 13–14°C, driven by moderate humidity, patchy cloud cover, and light rain that limited nighttime radiative cooling. These conditions aligned with historical September averages and recent monitoring showing no strong cold-air intrusions or clear-sky extremes that would push temperatures lower. Market-implied odds heavily favor 13°C as the recorded low from official stations, reflecting the narrow range expected under current atmospheric stability and seasonal norms.
