Wyoming's 2026 U.S. Senate race, an open seat following incumbent Cynthia Lummis's decision not to seek re-election, features a Republican primary just concluded on August 18 with Harriet Hageman positioned as the strong nominee against a limited Democratic field. This setup sustains tight trader pricing across turnout bands because the state's small electorate and off-year timing make total ballots cast highly sensitive to Republican base mobilization, early voting patterns, and any late shifts in enthusiasm. Historical midterm participation rates around 50-60 percent of eligible voters provide a baseline, yet variables like weather on November 3, registration trends, and limited national focus keep multiple ranges from 150K upward in close contention without a clear signal emerging to separate outcomes.
