Recent National Weather Service forecasts from the Dallas/Fort Worth office project a high near 100°F or in the upper 90s for August 27, tempered by a weak cold front arriving from the north that shifts winds northeast and introduces a 20% chance of morning showers. This follows consecutive days of 103–105°F readings under southwest flow and extreme heat warnings, with the front expected to limit afternoon heating and maintain partly sunny conditions. Historical climatology places the late-August average high around 95°F, so current readings remain well above normal yet cooler than the immediate prior pattern. The closely matched market probabilities around 98–101°F reflect uncertainty in final model guidance on cloud cover, dew points near 70°F, and exact frontal timing, with official updates from NWS expected to refine the outcome before resolution.
