Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus points to a mostly sunny to partly cloudy pattern over Dallas on September 20 with southerly flow and only isolated afternoon storm chances, keeping afternoon highs in the mid-to-upper 90s. This forecast aligns with the market-implied probabilities clustering around 96–97 °F and nearby bins, while the 49 % on 89 °F or below appears to reflect trader weighting of model spread and the small but non-zero risk that increased cloud cover or earlier convection could suppress the daily maximum. No major cold-front passage is indicated in the latest runs, so any further downward revision in odds for the cooler bins would likely require an updated NHC or local office guidance showing stronger easterly or northerly flow.
