Recent forecasts from PAGASA and global models indicate Manila's September 18 maximum will likely fall in the low 30s Celsius, driven by typical southwest monsoon conditions with scattered thunderstorms, high humidity near 80%, and variable cloud cover that moderates daytime heating. Historical September highs average 31–32°C, and current outlooks align closely with this baseline amid light winds and an active Intertropical Convergence Zone. The tight clustering of market-implied odds around 31–33°C reflects model consensus on these factors, while small differences hinge on exact timing of convective rain, which can suppress peaks by 1–2°C, versus clearer intervals allowing brief warming. PAGASA's next regional updates and refined model runs will provide key signals ahead of the date.
