Latest National Weather Service forecasts for New York City indicate an overnight low near 62°F for September 20 amid widespread rain, southeast winds of 7–12 mph, and near-total cloud cover that restricts nocturnal radiative cooling. Ensemble model guidance shows modest spread in minimum temperatures driven by variations in precipitation timing, boundary-layer moisture, and wind shifts as the system moves through, keeping the 62–67°F range as the core area of trader focus. Historical September averages around 60°F provide context, but the immediate synoptic pattern favors slightly milder readings than climatology. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the overnight period represent the next key data points that could refine these probabilities.
