Recent NWS and model guidance for Seattle shows overnight lows on September 21 centered near 52–54°F under a weak ridge with light northerly flow, patchy fog, and clear skies favoring radiational cooling after sunset. Local variations in marine layer depth and urban heat retention create the tight spread among 48–53°F bins, where small shifts in dew-point depression or wind speed could alter the minimum by 2–4°F. Historical climatology places the September 21 average low at 52°F, providing a baseline against which current ensemble runs show modest negative anomalies. Updated model cycles and any revised NHC or local office briefings over the next 48 hours remain the key catalysts for price movement ahead of the market’s resolution window.
