Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate sunny skies and highs in the low-to-mid 90s for Houston on September 18 under building high pressure, with light easterly winds and minimal cloud cover expected to support strong daytime heating. Recent days have featured mid-90s readings amid lingering summer warmth, consistent with September climatology where average highs near 89–90°F but recent patterns run several degrees above normal. The close market split between 92–93°F and 94–95°F reflects typical forecast uncertainty ranges of 2–3°F driven by small differences in boundary-layer mixing, exact insolation, and dew point suppression; stronger subsidence or clearer conditions could push toward the upper bin while any afternoon moisture would cap temperatures lower. No major data releases or model updates are imminent before resolution.
