Recent forecasts for Mexico City on September 20 indicate a daytime high near 23–24°C under mostly cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle chances of 30–50%, consistent with the ongoing late rainy season at the city's high elevation of roughly 2,240 meters. These conditions, including widespread cloud cover and modest northerly winds, limit surface heating and support the market's strong weighting toward 26°C as the most probable peak. Model consensus from sources such as the Met Office and regional forecasts shows occasional warmer scenarios reaching 27°C or higher if afternoon clearing occurs, aligning with the 30.5% implied probability, while historical September averages near 24°C provide baseline context for the current trader positioning. Updated model runs and official observations through midday will refine these probabilities as the day progresses.
