This aligns with NOAA ensemble forecast models predicting highs near 67°F amid cloudy skies, light-to-moderate rain totaling about 0.5 inches, and cool northerly airflow that displaced prior summer-like warmth. Typical early May highs average 69°F, but the frontal boundary suppressed temperatures effectively. Realistic challenges are minimal—only a rare post hoc data revision for sensor anomalies could shift resolution, as corroborated by multiple stations and Wunderground records.
