Dune: Part Three leads the Best Visual Effects market with a 54.5% implied probability, reflecting trader confidence in the franchise's track record for innovative effects work after strong predecessor performance. The broad cluster of other contenders near 50% underscores the early-stage uncertainty for the 2027 Oscars, as most 2026 releases are still filming or in post-production with limited public footage available. Lower odds for titles like Project Hail Mary and Godzilla Minus Zero illustrate the historical edge held by large-scale studio tentpoles in this category. Upcoming trailers, industry previews, and eventual guild nominations will likely sharpen distinctions among the field.
