Recent polling from Focaldata and others released around Labor Day shows Trump’s approval at 33-34 percent amid widespread voter dissatisfaction with the economy, inflation, and the prolonged U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict that has driven up gasoline prices. These pressures have produced net approval ratings near minus 26 nationally, with further erosion even among Republicans on jobs and cost-of-living metrics. No major offsetting positive developments have emerged in the past week to shift momentum. Trader consensus at 59.5 percent for approval moving down this week reflects the ongoing weight of these economic and foreign-policy headwinds on short-term sentiment.
