Trader sentiment on average daily ship transits through the Strait of Hormuz at April's end hinges on balanced risks from Iran-Israel military exchanges, with no blockade despite Tehran's threats and proxy Houthi disruptions elsewhere. Recent U.S. Energy Information Administration data shows typical flows near 50-60 vessels amid steady oil exports, yet end-month AIS tracking hints at minor dips to 20-30 from precautionary rerouting. The tight race—20-30 at 48%, 50-60 at 45.5%—stems from traders weighing historical resilience against escalation fears post-April 19 Israeli strikes. Separation could arise from Iranian vessel seizures, U.S. naval reinforcements, or final-week traffic reports confirming volumes.
