**An upper-level ridge offshore is driving warmer, drier conditions across western Washington, positioning Seattle for a high temperature on September 9 most likely in the mid to upper 70s.** National Weather Service forecasts and point matrices indicate a daytime maximum near 76–77°F under partly cloudy skies, with light northerly flow and strong insolation supporting peak readings in that range. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on 76–77°F (46%) and secondary support for 78–79°F (24%), reflecting model consensus on ridge-induced subsidence and minimal marine influence. Historical early-September averages near 72°F provide context for the positive anomaly. The ridge is expected to flatten overnight, with cooler onshore flow and troughing arriving Thursday, limiting upside risk beyond the low-80s threshold. Traders appear to be pricing the official NWS Seattle forecast and ensemble agreement as the primary resolution signal.
