In the BMW Open qualifying first round on Munich's outdoor clay at MTTC Iphitos, higher-ranked Arthur Fery (No. 166, career-high No. 152 in February 2026) holds a clear edge over local wild card Max Hans Rehberg (No. 729, peak No. 230 in 2025), shaping trader consensus around Fery's superior experience. Fery arrives off a round-of-16 exit at the clay Monza Challenger last week—beating Vitaliy Sachko before falling to Valentin Royer—and a standout Australian Open run upsetting No. 20 Flavio Cobolli. Rehberg, a 22-year-old Munich native, benefits from home crowd support and surface familiarity but enters with spotty 2026 form, including recent Challenger qualifying losses to Daniel Masur and Giuseppe La Vela. No head-to-head history or injury concerns reported.
