Men, coming off a hard-fought 1-3 group stage loss to Kim Eunseo on April 7 in WTT Contender Taiyuan—where she pushed sets to 11-7, 11-11, and 9-11—demonstrates resilience against top competition. Yokoi, sitting higher in ITTF world rankings around #27, exited early 1-3 to Bianca Mei-Rosu in WTT Feeder Varazdin last month, highlighting vulnerability in main draw openers. With no prior head-to-head, stylistic edges remain unclear; late scratches, warm-up intensity, or minor fitness updates could sway odds in this evenly poised best-of-seven affair.
