KMT legislator Chang Chia-chun holds an 83.5% implied probability in the Yunlin County magistrate race for Taiwan’s November 28, 2026 local elections, reflecting strong party nomination and organizational backing since her March 2026 selection by the KMT Central Standing Committee. Her candidacy builds on the Chang family’s prior governance record in the county, including former magistrate Chang Rong-wei and current officeholder Chang Li-shan, alongside recent KMT rallies that reinforced candidate unity across multiple jurisdictions. DPP lawmaker Liu Chien-kuo, nominated by his party, trails at 13%, consistent with Yunlin’s evolving voter patterns and the KMT’s established local networks. No major new polling shifts or candidate withdrawals have altered positioning in recent weeks, though primary outcomes, coalition alignments, or late campaign developments before the vote could still influence final results.
