Recent polling, including a Marquette Law School survey showing Trump’s approval at 37%—its lowest in the series—reflects sustained pressure from voter concerns over inflation, gasoline prices, and the Iran conflict. These issues have weighed on ratings among independents and even some conservatives, with approval on handling the economy and foreign policy remaining in the low 20s to high 20s. The slight edge for a weekly decline aligns with this downward trend amid midterm timing and limited positive catalysts in recent days. Offsetting factors include a stable Republican base and the potential for short-term shifts from new economic data releases, diplomatic updates on Iran, or administration messaging that could stabilize or lift sentiment in subsequent surveys.
