Florida's 12th congressional district maintains a Republican tilt, reflected in its R+7 partisan voting index and recent election results where the GOP candidate prevailed by double digits. Incumbent Representative Gus Bilirakis seeks renomination in the August 18 primary ahead of the November general election, providing continuity that bolsters trader consensus around the Republican outcome at 80.5%. Democratic primary contenders Darren McAuley and Kimberly Overman are competing for the nomination on the same date, yet the district's voting patterns and historical margins limit their general-election prospects at 19.5%. With primaries still months away and no major shifts in candidate fields or redistricting since early 2026, the current pricing aligns with established structural advantages for the Republican nominee.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
