Microsoft's fiscal fourth-quarter results, released July 29, showed revenue of $90 billion (18% year-over-year growth) and adjusted EPS of $4.74, comfortably beating consensus estimates of roughly $4.24 and $87.7 billion, respectively. Azure annual revenue run rate exceeded $100 billion amid accelerating AI demand, triggering the largest single-day market-cap gain in U.S. equity history as shares jumped more than 15%. At approximately $481–482, the stock trades well below the $560 average analyst price target, reflecting sustained optimism around cloud and AI monetization. With the next earnings release not due until late October, the week of August 24 offers limited new fundamental catalysts beyond ongoing momentum from the July beat and broader tech-sector risk appetite.
