Official National Weather Service observations recorded a maximum temperature of 88°F in Atlanta on September 8, 2026, at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, matching the market's dominant 88-89°F outcome at 100% implied probability. This reading aligned with pre-event forecasts citing easterly flow and mostly clear skies that limited daytime heating near seasonal normals of 86°F, following hotter conditions earlier in the week. Verified station data from authoritative sources like NOAA provide high-confidence resolution criteria with minimal uncertainty. Realistic challenges would require post-analysis revisions to the preliminary climatological report or discrepancies across official monitoring sites, though such adjustments remain rare for daily maxima.
