Official National Weather Service observations at Los Angeles International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 84–85°F on September 11, 2026, driving the market’s near-certain consensus on that bracket. This followed several hotter days earlier in the month, including 92°F on September 8 and 99°F on September 9, as a marine layer and onshore flow moderated temperatures under typical early-September climatology. Preliminary climatological data (CF6 reports) and hourly station readings confirm the peak fell squarely in the 84–85°F range, consistent with the resolution criteria used by prediction markets. Minor uncertainty could arise only from a late data revision or use of an alternate station, though such adjustments are rare once preliminary values are finalized.
