Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a highest temperature in Seattle on September 7 most likely falling between 68–72 °F, driven by a mild southwesterly flow ahead of a weak frontal system and persistent marine layer influence moderating daytime heating near Puget Sound. Recent runs show limited spread, with partly cloudy skies and light southerly winds expected to cap afternoon maxima near or slightly below the 72.6 °F climatological average; any stronger onshore push or increased cloud cover could suppress readings toward the lower end of that range, while clearer breaks would favor the upper end. Traders appear to weigh this narrow forecast envelope heavily, as resolution hinges on official observations from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with only minor model adjustments anticipated before the date.
