This market will resolve to “Yes” if Tesla releases a humanoid, bipedal robot (such as Optimus) by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying product is a humanoid, bipedal robot intended for consumer use and newly introduced. Non-humanoid robotics, accessories, internal factory deployments, employee-only programs, and partner/enterprise pilots do not qualify. Announcements, unveilings, demos, or waitlists with “register interest” pages without payment do not suffice. Availability in any region counts if it is open to the general public. Musk has repeatedly stated that early units will first support internal Tesla operations before any external B2B deployments later this year, while high-volume production and consumer availability remain targeted for 2027 at a projected $20,000–$30,000 price point. Persistent challenges include an entirely new supply chain for roughly 10,000 unique components, the absence of a completed Gen 3 public unveiling, and the company’s history of slow initial ramps on novel hardware. Upcoming Q2 earnings commentary and any Fremont line photos or videos could quickly shift trader views on whether meaningful external “release” occurs before year-end.
